OpenAI helps Microsoft in Google rivalry

FEATURE

OpenAI is developing a web search alternative to Google. According to a report from The Information, the new service will be partly powered by Microsoft's search engine, Bing.

At this stage it is unclear whether this would be a standalone product or part of ChatGPT.

Many Google challengers have come and gone. The main source of competition now is from AI companies offering an alternative to Googleā€™s link-based browsing experience. This includes Perplexity AI who recently made headlines after announcing that Nvidia & Jeff Bezos invested in the company.
