Meta announces fee changes

FEATURE

Meta will charge an additional 30% fee for boosted posts on Facebook and Instagram's iOS apps. The change is caused by Apple who will begin to take 30% of boost posts revenue - which Meta is passing directly onto the advertiser.

Meta is encouraging advertisers to boost posts through desktop rather than Apple on mobile devices to avoid the additional costs.

Meta said it will start implementing the changes this month in the United States and that other markets will be subject to this fee later in the year.
