Flip raised an additional $144 Million to be the TikTok of product reviews.Ā 

Flip is an online marketplace that describes itself as the ā€˜Shopping Social Networkā€™. The free app combines TikTok-style video with a premium e-commerce service.

The premise is for video content to be produced by actual product purchasers, who earn money based on views and related product sales.

Flip takes a commission on each product sale and charges brands to boost reviews of their products in the app.

New advertising opportunities were announced too. Flip will enable brands to advertise within their app via their investor-partner AppLovin. And Flipā€™s advertisers can use AppLovinā€™s extensive in-app ad network for additional reach.
