Google is putting video front & center of the new Search Engine

In May, Google announced that they are rebuilding search around AI.

Now as we get closer to Google 2.0, Google confirmed that images and videos will start featuring within the AI answers.

Meaning that creating images and particularly videos that answer searches, could become a big priority for brands that want visibility in the new search engine.

What about web pages?

Well, itā€™s still unknown how much traffic will be impacted. But it seems pages are moving from a lead to a ā€œsupportā€ role on Google.

ā€œWeā€™re continuing to experiment with new, easier ways for people to find web pages that support information in AI overviewsā€.
