TikTok chases Amazon with the launch of logistics service in the UK

TikTok has become a platform for product discovery. Videos tagged #tiktokmademybuyit have over 7.4bn views. Naturally, TikTok wants to serve the demand it’s helping to create.
Enter: TikTok Shop. E-commerce integrated within TikTok’s app.
Stores are still rolling out globally (and have had many teething issues), but they enable sellers to take orders from within TikTok.
But TikTok doesn’t stop there. TikTok just announced they will offer logistics in the UK. They will store, pack, label, and deliver the products to the customer.
And they’ll offer a premium next-day delivery option. Positioning themselves as a potential competitor to Amazon.
If TikTok can pull it off: offering product discovery, an integrated checkout, and fulfillment, is shaping up for a solid pitch for some brands.
