TikTok launches Amazon-style logistics

FEATURE

TikTok chases Amazon with the launch of logistics service in the UK

TikTok has become a platform for product discovery. Videos tagged #tiktokmademybuyit have over 7.4bn views. Naturally, TikTok wants to serve the demand itā€™s helping to create.

Enter: TikTok Shop. E-commerce integrated within TikTokā€™s app.

Stores are still rolling out globally (and have had many teething issues), but they enable sellers to take orders from within TikTok.

But TikTok doesnā€™t stop there. TikTok just announced they will offer logistics in the UK. They will store, pack, label, and deliver the products to the customer.

And theyā€™ll offer a premium next-day delivery option. Positioning themselves as a potential competitor to Amazon.

If TikTok can pull it off: offering product discovery, an integrated checkout, and fulfillment, is shaping up for a solid pitch for some brands.
