Spotify is bringing 16 video podcasts to Netflix starting in 2026. The podcasts will stream simultaneously on Spotify and Netflix, keeping the existing Spotify host-read ads intact, even on Netflix’s ad-supported plans.

This deal pulls certain Spotify video podcasts off YouTube where full episodes will no longer be available, although clips and audio versions will remain. While Netflix gets access to premium shows without needing to create original podcast content or sign new talent.

Now Spotify can offer access to Netflix’s 300M+ audience as part of its podcast advertising packages. The platform can offer a unified audience for brand campaigns across two major platforms with no need for separate buys or new creative materials.

YouTube recently surpassed Spotify and Apple as the top platform for podcast listening in the U.S. According to data cited by Edison Research and reported by eMarketer, about 31% of weekly podcast listeners prefer YouTube, compared to 27% for Spotify and 15% for Apple. Soon users will have another major platform to choose from.

Spotify currently hosts over 430,000 video podcasts, with video consumption growing at a 20 times faster rate than audio-only content.
