Meta announced a partnership with Midjourney to strengthen its AI visual creation capabilities. As part of the deal, Meta will license Midjourney's "aesthetic technology" for its future AI models and products.

Midjourney is one of the industry leaders in AI visual generation and is expanding into video creation, making this partnership potentially valuable for advertisers using Meta's AI tools to create ad content. Speaking at Stripe's Sessions conference, Zuckerberg said Meta plans to generate "4,000 different versions of your creative and just test them" to find what works best.

Demand looks strong. Meta reported that almost 2 million advertisers are using its AI video generation features, with small and medium-sized businesses showing particularly strong adoption of image animation tools.

Google is also moving quickly. Its Veo 3 model now creates eight-second video clips from static images, and Google Vids has surpassed 1 million monthly active users.

This shows where major platforms are focusing their resources: trying to make professional-quality video creation at scale more accessible.
