Hi and welcome back to another edition of The Keyword.

This week: Manus AI is the first AI agent with a native Meta ads integration. Since Meta recently acquired Manus, this is the only AI platform that can be trained on Meta Ads’ internal documentation. And so I've been deep-diving into what Manus can do. And what might be coming in the near future.

Feature

🤖 Meta is rolling out Manus AI inside Ads Manager

Zuckerberg says that Manus will "deliver general-purpose agents across consumer and business products”.

Within Meta ads advertisers (should, it’s still in beta) find Manus AI under the All Tools menu.

Manus comes loaded with built-in capabilities, including a Meta Ads Analyzer that likely taps into Meta’s own internal documentation of how ad delivery really works.

In practice, that means advertisers can ask Manus to diagnose problems like rising CPAs or delivery issues.

There are some guardrails (for now):

  • It’s read-only. It can’t change campaigns (yet)

  • Early users say the output isn’t always accurate

  • Advertisers should sanity-check anything important

But as Meta will inevitably lock its AI rivals out of ads manager, Manus is likely to become the primary optimization AI tool for Meta Advertising.
