TikTok is developing virtual Influencers for video ads

According to sources, TikTok may release a feature that would see AI-generated ‘Influencers’ delivering video ad reads on behalf of advertisers. The idea is for brands to provide a script and an AI avatar will produce a video promoting the product on TikTok.

Even though TikTok believes AI Creators would complement their Content Creators, there is likely to be significant pushback from those Creators who drive the platform forward and rely on brand partnerships.
