OpenAI has announced ‘SearchGPT’ prototype
SearchGPT will tap into real-time web data and provide “clear links to relevant sources”.
It starts with a search box asking: “What are you searching for?”
After entering a query, SearchGPT will provide a natural language answer at the top of the page and supporting information with links to sources (shown below)
Additional search results are shown in a sidebar
Users can ask follow-up questions, the context building with each additional query
SearchGPT is only accessible to 10,000 test users at launch, with a waitlist now open.

Starting with a test phase, Google will test search and shopping ads among U.S. users. The company will use existing ad campaigns and feature a "Sponsored" label to integrate ads into AI-generated content summaries.
