LinkedIn's B2B influencer update

FEATURE

LinkedIn released an update to facilitate business-to-business influencer marketing campaigns.

LinkedIn will enable advertisers to boost any post submitted on the platform. Previously, LinkedIn’s ‘Thought Leader ads’ were limited to boosting posts from verified employees.

Now that limit is removed, if an advertiser wants to boost a post, the original creator will receive a notification asking them to approve or deny the request from the advertiser to promote their content.

LinkedIn described how advertisers can engage their target audience on the platform in new ways, by showcasing customer testimonials or content from brand advocates.

‘Thought Leader Ads’ for non-employee members posts will be available globally by the end of March 2024.
