Google Tests Desktop Version of 'Discover'

FEATURE

Google’s Latest Experiments

Google has started testing the Discover feed just below the search box on its desktop version for select users.

Discover shows people content related to their interests, based on their online activity. Up to now, the Discover content feed has been an app-only feature. So expanding to Google.com could bring significantly more usage.

Google confirmed the test of a more prominent placement for ‘Discover’ in a statement to The Verge.

Also, Google Search now gives users the option to create images with generative AI. A spokesperson explained that the feature is designed for when you “might be looking for a specific image, but you can’t find exactly what you have in mind.”
