1. TikTok launches a subscription program for creators. TikTok has enabled creators to set up paid subscriptions. TikTok is making moves to attract and retain creators on the platform. This puts TikTok in direct competition with Twitch with features such as subscriber-only chat, custom emojis, and badges (The Verge ↗️).
TikTok joins Twitch in providing a way for creators to earn revenue from top fans via paid subscriptions. Paying users get perks like being the only ones that can comment, custom emotes, badges, etc.
The app pushes live videos a lot and this explains why.

2. Advertisers can show ads on YouTube Shorts. The Shorts ad placement will be included in YouTube’s Video Action and App campaigns. The video ads automatically scale to fit the vertical format. The Google CEO recently said that Shorts generate 30 billion views per day.
More video advertising news. Product feeds can also be added to YouTube Shorts & YouTube Search. While video ads are coming to the Google Discover surface.
3. Google creates a more visual Shopping ads experience in Google Search. Google will heavy-up on product images in a revamped feed. A combination of organic and ads will be shown for apparel search results. View the new style here: (Google↗️)
4. Merchants can show 3D models in Google Search. Using AR, shoppers who click search results on their mobile can see the product in their own space. This feature will be available through Manufacturer Center.
5. Lastly, Google has 6 updates coming to Performance Max. Experiment tools, in-store optimization, and an upgrade to the Insights page.
