3. Amazon will offer all retailers the ability to use their shipping & logistics. ‘Buy with Prime’ enables merchants to fulfill orders placed on their own sites. Prime members can use the payment and shipping information stored on their Amazon accounts to place an order.
4. Amazon looks to expand its video ad business. Amazon has rebranded IMDb TV to ‘Freevee’ to position itself as a destination of free TV content. Last year Amazon announced that its ad-supported video channels reaches 120 million people.
5. Netflix plans to introduce advertising to the platform. For comparison, according to Kantar, Hulu generated $2.1 billion in 12 months from ad-supported tiers. WarnerMedia said nearly half of new HBO Max subscribers choose the $10-a-month version with commercials, over the $15 one without.
