💸 Ad-Free Meta

Meta & X Launch Ad-Free Plans

FEATURE

Official: Facebook & Instagram will be available Ad-Free in the European Union

Meta will offer a subscription-based, ad-free version of Facebook and Instagram to EU users to comply with privacy regulations.

The cost to remove ads from the apps will be €9.99 per month.

Uptake is not expected to be high, but Meta is appeasing regulators by providing an ad-free alternative.

How will this affect Meta? In Q2 2023, Meta generated $17.88 from their EU users* on average. This translates to €5-6 per month.

X has also confirmed an ad-free plan this week. ‘Premium+’ is priced at $16 per month to remove ads which will be offered globally, rather than only in the EU.
